Sweetie I of all people understand what you are going through. Is there any family member who can give you and your husband a break even for two hours a week? You really need time away from the stresses.

Have you taken her to get help for this at the mental health clinics yet? They can really be a good support for you. I do and they saved my sanity. My little Hope is on two medications, pretty high doses for her age but we finally got rid of the voices and her seeing things. She still has her good days and bad, and she is still triggered when something happens that scares her. But most days she can function pretty good. She can focus better at school now and is starting to learn better. Hope was so far behind in school. Her behavior specialist goes to school once a week to help her teacher deal with her also. The medications have pretty much stopped the aggression also.

If you need help with the financial part she will qualify for SSI disability. They will cover the cost of the medications and all her mental and physical costs for the doctors. Hope qualified within three months of applying.

It is so important for you and your husband to get time away, even if it is a couple of hours a week. The clinic can also connect you with others who can step in for a couple of hours so you can get a break. You will be suprised how much those two hours will help.

Hello my sweet friend. I read about your friend and her son. I want you to know that I will be praying for all of them. I have walked in her shoes as the expression goes and I totally understand the frustration and feeling of helplessness she is going through not being able to help her son. My son was also there before and his bail was over $4,000. I want her to know that with prayer and Gods help her son will be okay. It just takes time. My son is doing so well now. He has a family a great job and obeys every law on the books. His life was turned around by being there with Gods intervention. I will be praying for them. Bless all of you.

Is there anyone who can help us? We can't pay the water bill, electric or gas and they are going to be cut off. It is 107 degrees outside here. We have no money or food.

Hello to all my sweet friends here. I am sorry I haven't been on here lately but things have been so hard I haven't had time. I need help and I keep praying to our Father in heaven and I feel he is telling me to write to all of you. Hope and I are both on disability. Hope is my granddaughter I am raising who is a special needs child. I don't have a mate to help with financial difficulties. It is just her and I.

Over the past several months we have gone through so many problems and financially we are hurting badly. The California Government cut us both back on our disability payments from the state and we can not make ends meet anymore. Hope now gets $739 a month and I get $851 a month. Our rent is $675, car payment is $300. Gas bill runs around $50, electric $70, water trash garbage and sewer $70. The insurance for the car is around $150. That is not counting three credit cards that we buy food on to live house needs (toilet paper, tooth paste, shampoo, laundry soap, etc.) and gas for the car.

The places you can get free food does not have Hope's special foods that she has to eat because of her diet the Childrens Hospital put her on.

We are behind on all of the utilities and they will be cut off soon. I have tried to get help from other places but they will only help a few times. There are so many people in trouble financially right now.

If you can help us at all it would be greatly appreciated. If you can not help then would you please pray for us a miracle. I really need help!

I don't like to ask on here anymore because there were some people on here that really gave me a hard time when I requested help before. They were really rude to me because of the way I write things, but if they had suffered a stroke maybe they wouldn't be so critical.

Most people on here are beautiful people. I love them so much and they have helped me through difficult times just by talking with me and praying for me.

Psychotic children are very difficult to deal with because they live in a world all their own. Their reality is very different from ours.

I am raising a child that has been diagnosed with ADHD, bipolar, Obsessive Defiant Disorder and is psychotic. Forgive me if I spell something wrong.

She has a behavioral specialest, a theropist and psychiatrist. With the medications she takes, she is doing some better now but it has really taken awhile to get her to this point. We have all worked very hard trying to get her in balance. This is a daily struggle.

She use to hear voices that told her to do bad things, and she would follow their instructions. I never knew what to expect next from her. These children seem to have physical strength beyond there years. She is now eight years old and can pick up the couch at one end of it and throw the couch across the room at least two feet. She has gone into rages because she did not get her way and broken my bones before.  The medication has helped her in these areas, we deal with very few times where she hears voices now and the theropy and behavior specialist have helped her control the rages along with the medications. 

At first I didn't want to put her on medications. I talked at length with the psychiatrist many times before I agreed to put her on medications because of all the negative things I had heard about medications of this type. I learned to trust his opinion on them, especially the new medications they have now. He explains what each medication will do and why he feels it is sometimes needed.

Psychosis by defination is:  a mental disorder characterized by symptoms, as delusions or hallucinations, that indicate impaired contact with reality. any severe form of mental disorder, as schizophrenia or paranoia. (Random House Websters College Dictionary)

What I want for her is to have a normal life, a happy life. Just to be able to function in this world and be happy. I do not care what her problems are I will deal with them because she is worth the effort and I love her with all my heart. I know there are others out there who deal with children like her. There are support groups you can attend to help you cope with the stress and I of all people know the stresses of this kind.

You are welcome to share on this site anything that might help you or others. Sometimes talking to people who go through what you are with a child helps. Because sometimes I feel like screaming!

Just trust in God my sweet friend. I know it is hard to just hang in there but I know there is something beautiful for you in Gods timing. I keep you in my prayers everyday and Know in my heart you will have something good coming through all of this. I "am" here for you when you need to talk, and I mean it if I ever win anything half is yours, God works in mysterous ways.

In the mean time just keep your faith strong and believe, he is going to make things better, in his timing. Remember the Jabez prayer:

And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying

Oh that you would bless me indeed

and enlarge my territory

that your hand would be with me

and that you would keep me from evil

that I may not cause pain

So God granted him what he requested

So who knows, one of us might just win the lottery if we continue to say the Jabez prayer everyday. I know he works in mysterous ways.... hummmm, maybe I should try playing the lottery then?

I want to thank you for your kind words. I have had so much abuse in my life all of my life and all I have ever wanted to do is make things easier for others.

The stroke knocked me down, all the way down. I had to learn to walk, talk and function again like I use to. There was brain damage but I never let that stop me from regrouping and coming back. I didn't look at all the little things that I can not do just the things that I have already relearned. And all this time even through the aftermath of the stroke I took care of my girls. I learned to cook again standing with a walker. Point is I never gave up.

Then these people bash me because of how I wrote something. Even after I told them what I ment to say I just typed it wrong. They just wouldn't stop. I do not need that in my life I have so much to deal with already.

If it were not for people like you to lean on I would never make it. So again I thank you so very much for your friendship and love. You are truly a blessing to me. I pray God blesses you for it. Donna

You know there are some wonderful people on this site. I have been honored to meet a lot of you.

There are others who like to degrade me and for what reason they only know.

I do understand that since my stroke I do not always write correctly the thoughts that I am trying to say. To tell you the truth I think I do real well writing, but I can make mistakes or say something a little backwards. Is that a crime? I am being bashed on disability site by several. I have tried to explain what I ment but they do not seem to care. They seem to think that they know everything. I am praying for all of them who continually bash me. But to tell you the truth, I am getting a little tired of it. This site is for people who help other people weither it is financial, or just moral support through hard times.

My grandma was a wise person. She drilled it into our heads not to ever judge others because "unless you walk in their shoes you do not know what you would do to handle the situation". Isn't that what Jesus himself taught us in the Bible. God is the Judge, not us.

I just pray that these who like to be evil to me never have to walk in my shoes and go through what I have had to in my life. They just have no idea.

I would report this to the ones who control this site but I do not know who they are. I am so tired of the cruelty from these people. So please pray for me to find forgiveness in my heart for what I feel right now.

You need to get some serious counseling sweet child.

If I ever won the lottery (like that would ever happen to me) I would split it with you. I know how you are feeling because I have walked in those shoes also. I can pray for you and your children and I will. God hears our prayers and will answer them in his timing. And you are a liar when you say "I never said her money pays for everything ever! "

Now go talk with your therapist about your anger issues so you don't take it out on that sweet, innocent, little child, Hope, which you have been stealing from for 8 years!

Some people on here like to hurt people like they just did me, but most of those on here are kind and a blessing to others.

In my 57 years I have always been kind and loving to others. I would never speak to them like those who posted to me today. I will pray for those who sent me posts in anger. They just do not know the entire situation in my home.  I guess they have so much anger in them that they have to take it out on others. But to tell you the truth it made me cry. They have no idea what I have been through with Hope or my health. They have no idea that I found out my medical test results came back bad either, today.

I want you to know that I love all of you on here but I do not know if I will come back on this site again. I will continue to pray for all of you here no matter what.

I need help to pay next months rent. The rent is $675. If there is anyone who can help it would be such a blessing. If I can just get help with this one month we will be okay. After they cut off Hope's foster care money and the SSI didn't start for two months we got into financial trouble. I can catch everything up if I can get help with this. I need work cloths. Since my stroke I lost over 30 lbs and don't have anything I can wear on a job. I have an interview coming up to try and get a job. First one I have been on in 3 yrs. We can not live on disability any longer, can't even afford to eat. I have to get some kind of employment. California cut backs hit the disabled and Hope and I do not have enough money to survive. If anyone can help with a gift card for walmart or target or anywhere it would be such a blessing. Bless all of you here, I love you all. Please pray for my two grandchildren that are very ill. Seth is in Childrens hospital in Madera right now. And Hope is going through a very bad illness. She will have more tests done at Childrens hospital on the 23rd to find out what has happened in her digestive system. They are both very sick. Thank you so much for the prayers on their behalf. Thank you all for your prayers for my little Hope. God is good, the biopsys came back okay.  We found out that her body has stopped producing enzimes needed to break down acids in her system. No one can tell me why her body stopped producing them though but she has now been put on a very strict diet. Everything that she likes to eat is not on the diet. So please keep praying for her to adjust to the new diet it will stop her from throwing up all the time. She has to take medication for this also. Hi everyone,

I want to thank you for all your prayers. Hope had surgery yesterday and they found four areas that they took biopsy's on. I should know something in about three days from the biopsy's.So please keep the prayers going, because I am a little scared. No matter what comes we will deal with it with Gods help. I could really use a gas card to get her to and from the childrens hospital, so if there is anyone who could help there I would appreciate it. Love all of you! Donna

Sweet friend if you are a manager go to Leslie Pool Supply. It is a great company and they are always looking for management people. My son works for them and has been promoted several times in the last 18 months. It is a shot and I think that they have a store there.
